A Trio of Tags

(This post is part of my Frosty Festivities Blog Event)

I've made a set of tags, and though each one uses products from different manufacturers, they all go together nicely.

A Trio of Tags:

I pulled them all together by using similar colours, techniques, and elements.

They all have the same background shape, cut with my Slice Design Cutter and the Basic Elements card (on 4" setting). The edges of all the tags are distressed. Then each one has a white panel that has gold mist droplets on it, and red inked edges.

Finally I layered on some elements, making sure each tag had something that peeked over the edge, and they also all have some stars:

Crate Paper Sleigh Ride - The star on here was cut using the Slice Design Cutter, and attached with pop dots.

My Mind's Eye All is Bright - after sticking on the 'Noel' sticker I flipped the tag over, and applied talcum powder to the ends of the sticker that were still showing.

Pink Paislee City Sidewalks and Artisan - The reindeer is from the paper bunting set, but it looks just as good stuck straight down on it's own.

Be Inspired:
  • Choose a few of the same colours / techniques / elements, and use them to make a trio of tags or cards
  • Stick on some stars - they're always Christmassy
  • Do some distressing on your next project

Don't forget that a comment on this post, or on any of my posts from this weekend, will count as an entry into the Grand Giveaway {NOW CLOSED} - but only if you've registered your interest in winning that here!

Do you make tags for gifts at Christmas, or do you just use shop bought ones? Bye for now! x

This is very similar to what I do with the counterfeit kit challenge blog - as long as there's enough similarities I'm able to mix and match manufacturers.
Great tags!

Very pretty tags. I've making a few at a time with scraps leftover from card making.

I love making tags and will often add them to cards - quick and simple

I usually make my tags myself but they're nowhere near as elaborate as yours.

Love the similarities and differences! I don't make my own tags - I've never really managed 'pretty' wrapping, and I find it hard to be motivated when I know it'll just be ripped off and discarded... If I do make a tag therefore it'll be to mount onto the front of a card :)

This post has made me want to make my own tags this year.

they are cute and again I have enjoyed you talking through the process as it gives me ideas, though at the moment I think I need to steal your slice and some of your stash but especially your skills and style!!!

Oh no store bought for me. Only handmade. I love how I can personalise each one to the recipient.

Well... now that I think about it, I would use etsy ones. Still handmade in my book ;)

I've never made my own tags but love the look of them! They look like a good way of using scraps and I may try to make some this year to use in my december daily!

I tend to make my own by recycling last year's Christmas cards. I do make special tags for DHs pressies but the last couple of years he has taken them off of the pressie really carefully and handed them back to me to use again LOL!! I will have to find time this week to make some tags as we are away on holiday this Christmas and just taking a little present each to open.

Gorgeous tags - I don't make time for Christmas tags I'm afraid, but I sometimes do them for birthdays - especially love the middle one with the vintage style greeting :o)

These are lovely tags.
Tags are one of my favourite things to make as they're simple but can look so effective. I mix most my papers and embellishments and I love the way I can use my scraps and bits up on tags :)

They all three flow into each other even though they are different. Good job!

These are great, and I really love the distressing on the edges. I haven't made tags in the past, but I am planning to do some this year....already have my first four so just need to duplicate them.

Love how your tags work together as a set, even though you've used different supplies.

Gorgeous tags! The wrappings on your gifts will be more special than the gifts themselves!

I make nearly all my tags. I just finished 20 of them for our family gift exchange. It's fun to see them reappear on people's packages Christmas Day.
