Organising my Blogging

(Sorry if the posts haven't been on the hour over the last couple of hours, I published this one when out at the beach and I thought it had worked, but then I came back home and I couldn't find it - I think some of you could see it though - I'm not sure what went wrong!)

As you may have guessed, this weekend has taken a fair amount of organising!

I started sketching out ideas on a spare page of my diary a few months ago, and then I plotted it all out on an Excel spreadsheet, checking I had enough posts for each hour, and colour coding it to make sure the giveaways and tutorials would be spread throughout the weekend. The arrangement of them has changed slightly, which I've jotted out in pen on the printed out spreadsheet:

I also contacted blog hop participants and sponsors over a month ago, to see if they'd be interested in joining in.

And I bought lots of giveaway prizes around the same time, so that I could get them in plenty of time to photograph them - I wanted to do sneaks in advance of the weekend as well.

Plus of course I had to photograph lots of organising related things, and make some projects - then photograph them, and edit the photos!

Oh, and write all the posts! I hadn't managed to get it all done before the weekend started, and in fact, I'm finishing this post at the beach!

I usually plan my blogging out in my day a page diary, here I've been jotting down numbers all through the month of March for my Month in Numbers post. Then a couple of days before the post needs to go live I type it up and start putting the photos in.

How do you plan your blogging? (If you do blogging!)

Don't forget that a comment on this post, or on any of my posts from this weekend, will count as an entry into the Grand Giveaway {NOW CLOSED} - but only if you've registered your interest in winning that here!

Lol I don't plan it which is probably why I am not good at regular blogging! Maybe I will try using my diary like you have suggested :)

I schedule posts pretty often, but I really don't organize much ahead of time...I really should...

The important thing is that you enjoyed the beach - if we didn't go out and live life there'd be nothing to blog about after all :) We've just got back from a party with friends, now come online to see what I've missed - thanks for organising such a fun weekend :)

I don't plan my blogging....just write a post if I've got something to post!!
The only time I plan is if I'm joining a blog hop or Sian's Storytelling Sunday or something similar.

I've always considered myself a fairly organized person, but it is nothing compared to what you're doing! LOL Especially when it comes to blogging - I blog when I feel like it, and lately that hasn't been very much. That doesn't mean I haven't been scrapbooking though, I'm just not putting it all out there to be seen. I am definitely a lazy blogger!

Wow! I can tell you have work very hard to make this weekend happen! I plan my blogging a month at a time, working on posting something new every 2 or 3 days... I print a calendar page for that purpose.

You know that this would not have been memorable if it had gone perfectly as planned. Don't sweat the small stuff. It really does show that you have worked hard to make this weekend happen. As far as blogging, I usually think up what I am going to blog about, then, it usually takes several days to get it ready. My problem is that I can only upload 2 pics then have to close out, open back up, and do it again. Dang dinosaur computer and dialup!

My personal blog is a mess. LOL But our Counterfeit Kit Blog is organized! We have a list of general posts for each day of the month. That way we always know what we are going to talk about. :) I try to pre-write 3 or 4 a day at the beginning of the month (I do the last half of the month's posts), so I can focus on playing with my kit and things the rest of the month. :)

I try to blog 5-7 days a week, so I will often schedule posts in advance. I also use some of my favorite memes (10 things, paint party friday, story telling sunday, etc.) to help organize my posts.

Well, I don't plan on blogging. I just blog when I have new inspirations or projects.

Some of my blog planning was done for me last year when I was designing for a company and had a schedule sent to me. Since then I've not really had a plan, except to actually post, hehe!

I love a good spreadsheet LOL
I'm not a great blogger/planner though - just join in with a few memes and the Counterfeit Kit CT and the rest is just random as and when.

I've only recently started to plan more with regards to blogging and crafting. I'm finding that I have to keep a spread sheet of layouts I've blogged, ones I need to blog at a certain time etc. Could do better I think! ;-)
