one card down...

Today I managed to make a card for my father-in-law's birthday, so that's one ticked off my list (click on photo to see it larger):

The creased strip is paper, which I spritzed with water before crumpling it into a ball. Then I flattened it out a bit and dryed it with a heat gun. I think I read about this technique on someone's blog, but I can't remember who - sorry! Too much blog hopping! I really like the effect of it though, especially after I'd stitched it down. Hopefully Dad will like the card, I'm sure he'll like the vintage car image at least!

We are all better now, thank you well-wishers! Today I took my little girl to an indoor soft play area, as it was pouring down with rain all day today. We went with one of her friends and her mum, and it started off as lots of fun, but descended into tears when they got too hot and tired! I'm hoping the weather will get better so we can get more fresh air tomorrow! x

I like your card Jen, it's so hard to find cards for men normally.

I finally got round to updating my blog blurb, thanks for reminding me. I had totally forgotten to do it!!!
